DevOps Intern

Requirements

• Have an experience handling Infrastructure for at least 1-2 years
• Completed study in Computer Science or similar
• Strong Linux administration skills: CentOS, RedHat, Ubuntu, and bash scripting
• Strong debugging skills
• DevSecOps mindset and eager to learn new technology
• Deep knowledge of Nodejs, Go, and/or PHP programming skills is a plus.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English
• Familiar with or demonstrated learning initiatives in several of the following tools, platforms, or technologies:
  • Cloud Provider: AWS (preferred), GCP, and/or Azure
  • Security: AWS WAF and/or F5 WAF
  • Container technology: Docker, Kubernetes, and/or AWS ECS
  • Monitoring and logging: ELK, Fluentd, Syslog, Grafana, New Relic, and/or any similar technologies.
  • Networking knowledge: Load Balancing, DHCP, IPTables, DNS, TCP/IP, HTTP, SMTP, SSL
  • Basic Database Administration: ElasticSearch, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, MongoDB
  • Scripting languages: Bash, Python, SQL
  • Webserver Software: Nginx and/or Envoy
  • Version Control Systems: Git, Bitbucket
  • IaaC (Infrastructure as a Code): Terraform and/or AWS Cloudformation
  • Configuration Management Tools: Ansible

Responsibilities

As the company and business grow, we need to ensure our infrastructure is able to support it with high uptime or SLAs. At Ruparupa, we always strive to build more resilient, traceable, and fault-tolerant infrastructure.

Dev Ops Intern will be responsible for:

• Manage websites & mobile applications cloud environments for stability, security, and satisfaction for optimal customer experiences
• Setup and maintain multiple cloud staging/production environments in AWS and other major cloud providers
• Work closely with application and development teams as well as the Global Support Organization
• Establish and enforce standards and procedures for the installation and maintenance of systems and data
• Demonstrate a willingness to grow outside of the job responsibilities by assuming ownership for different not explicitly listed activities
• Perform continuous improvement in quality, reliability & efficiency in providing the best infrastructure solution
• Monitoring traffic, bot attacks, and any potential traffic abuser.
